What a $3,800 backwater valve invoice costs you after the rebate

$3,800 is the average backwater valve installation cost reported by the City of Toronto. Your quote may be higher or lower.

Trenchless replacement

A new pipe without a trench across your yard

With our own trenchless equipment we can replace many water and sewer lines through two small pits. See the difference.

Compare the two methods

Cross-section of a water or sewer line from the street to a houseIn trenchless replacement the new pipe is pulled through the old one between two small pits. In open trench replacement the ground is dug up along the whole pipe, including the lawn and driveway.StreetLawnDrivewayBasementCity mainTrench across the lawn and drivewayPitPitNew pipe pulled through the old path
  • Two small access pits instead of a trench
  • Driveway, walkway and trees stay where they are
  • Less restoration, so a smaller line on your quote
  • The new pipe follows the path of the old one

Whether trenchless works depends on the soil, the pipe depth and the condition of the old line. Our camera inspection tells us before we quote.

Lead pipes

Is your water line lead?

Homes built before the mid-1950s often still have a lead water service. You can check in two minutes with a coin and a fridge magnet.

  • We replace the private side, from the property line into your home.
  • In Toronto, the City replaces the public side on a priority basis.
  • Trenchless methods keep your lawn and driveway in place.

Our process

How we work

Every job follows the same six steps, so you always know what happens next and what it costs.

  1. Camera first

We look inside the pipe or trace the line before anyone talks price, so the quote is based on what is really there.

  2. Written quote

You get an itemized estimate in writing, with the rebates that apply and your cost after them.

  3. Permits booked

We pull the plumbing or building permit and book the inspections with your municipality.

  4. Low-dig work

Where the ground allows, we use trenchless methods to replace pipe through small access pits.

  5. Restoration

We backfill, compact and tidy the site. Any concrete, sod or finish restoration is listed line by line in your quote.

  6. Rebate filing

We prepare the invoices, photos and permit proof your rebate application needs.

FAQ

Common questions

Straight answers to the questions homeowners ask us most. If yours is not here, give us a call.

Are your estimates free?

Yes. We visit, inspect the problem and send a written, itemized estimate at no cost. It lists materials, labour, permits, restoration and the rebates that apply, so you can compare it line by line.

Which areas do you serve?

We work across Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and Milton.

Can you help me get the basement flooding subsidy?

Yes. We install the eligible devices, pull the permit and prepare the invoices, photos and permit proof the program asks for. In Toronto the subsidy can reach $6,650 per property. The application is in your name, and we make sure it goes in complete.

What is trenchless pipe replacement?

Instead of digging a trench along the whole pipe, we open two small pits and pull a new pipe through the path of the old one. Your lawn, driveway and trees stay in place, and there is far less to restore.

Do you take emergency calls?

Yes. Our emergency line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for burst pipes, sewer backups and flooding.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Payment plans are available for larger projects such as sewer replacement and full flood protection packages. Ask us when you book your estimate.
